Plate Hero

This painting was started two plus years ago and it languished in development hell until the last six months where it pretty much continued on a rocky path but I played with it more frequently. The initial composition was the main culprit. I tried to compensate for its problems but nothing worked. At the end I had to do some drastic measures to get this to be presentable. Now my life can move on. Yay.

I kept this piece very loose. I tried to put more details on the buildings but it just distracted the whole scene.

I really enjoyed working on this one. If I were to continue working on this one, I would add more ships and such. But I'm calling it done. Enjoy.

Finally done with this one. I did have a set back where I lost a week of work on this one but I think it turned out better than what I had before. I'm sure I could noodle on this forever but I'm calling it done!

This lovingly titled post is for the past few pieces I've done and neglected to put up here until now. Well, it's time!

This monster was a project I took on over the weekend. Featured here are a bunch of my friends from school. And stuff.

Thought I'd relax with some science fiction after a whole day of AOEO.

Purple! It didn't start out that way, but oh well. I'd call this a speed paint. probably 2 hours of work.
