Dante's Inferno!

I've been kicking this one around a while and finally got motivated to finish it when I saw this months image challenge over at Gnomon of Dante's Inferno. I got inspired for this one driving down a wide open country road just east of the foothills between Boulder and Louisville CO. In the middle of blistering hot August day, a couple of road workers were filling potholes and touching up the asphalt with these long propane torches. It struck me as a sort of vision of hell to be out on such a hot day dressed in protective gear and torching a wide open, heat rippled expanse. Anyway that vision stuck with me for a while until I've finally purged it to pixel paint!

Creepy Babies Attack!

I was at a toy store today with my boys and found these miniature creepy looking baby toys. All I could think about is how scary it would be if these babies started attacking at will. Shot on white printer paper.

I think i'm done with it. Good exercise. I think it took me about 2 hours total.

WIP. I had trouble painting. I would try to paint but draw instead. Sooooooo, learning to block things out and start carving out details. I don't know if i'm gonna finish this one but like to get some feed back. I wanna see other people post!!!!!!!!

I've been slowly drawing again and doing some art study. The one in black I tried a subtractive style and found that its a great way to create sharp edges. I feel so behind, but its never too late!!!

Nothing but us sketches

Hi from the east coast! I just checked the blog a few minutes ago and saw that ya'll have been buzy! Don't have anything to add to the topics but I'll try and fit something in if I can. When I was on vacation a couple weeks ago I managed to squeeze in a few sketches while in Whistler Village. The first is poolside sketches of girls, 2nd is landscape out the window and 3rd is when I met Sasquatch. Nice guy.
